Life is not reduced to simple yes and no answers. Life is more complex and complicated than that.
Same with people. There is good and bad in each and every one of us. It’s not a simple “do you like him or not?” or “do you like her or not?” The right answer is, “there are things I like about him, and there are things I don’t like also.”
Same with issues. It’s not always a simple yes and no. Some need to be explained, others need to be qualified. All are needed to be brought before God in prayer.
Having said that, here’s my “simple” take on the burning issues of the day. Let me “cheat” though by not offering any explanations to them ☺.
No to Extra Judicial killings.
No to men staring at any part of a woman’s body. This is rude, inexcusable, and outright sexual harassment! Shame on any man who do this to any woman!
No to cursing, especially if you are a President.
No to using God’s Name in vain, even as a “joke”.
No to bullying, cyber or otherwise, whether student, showbiz personality or politician. There is no place for a civilized society for that.
No to Marcos burial at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
No to “forgetting the past” and “just move on”. There is such a thing as justice you know?
No to banning Muslims from immigrating to the United States!
No to homophobia and xenophobia.
No to same sex marriage.
No to divorce.
No to Filipinos hating on Donald Trump! Leave that to the Americans.
Yes to War on Drugs.
Yes to Death Penalty for heinous crimes, number one of which is CORRUPTION!
Yes to justice! (I know I already said this).
Yes to rehabilitation of drug dependents.
Yes to tougher laws against crime and corruption.
Yes to Pacquiao in the Senate. He is proving to be worthy of it.
Yes to Philippines having a healthy relationship with BOTH China and America.
Yes to giving Donald Trump a chance.
Yes to healing and reconciliation.
Yes to Love and Respect, even and specially to those we disagree with.
Yes to democracy. The reason why there is so much debate and discussion in the first place is because of what we fought for during Edsa 1986
Yes to Jesus Christ, both now and forevermore!!!
