before you complain

God hates complaining!

In the Old Testament, when the Israelites complained about a lack of meat, God destroyed them by fire! (Num. 11:31-34).

When Aaron and Miriam grumbled against Moses, Miriam was left leprous (Numbers 12:1-10).

Again, when the Israelites were thirsty and grumbled and complained against Moses and Aaron, the Lord threatened to wipe them off the face of the earth, were it not for Moses’ timely and humble intercession before God (Numbers 14:10-20).

God doesn’t take the sin of complaining lightly, and neither should we. Continue reading

Do They Know?

I’ve never met a born-again Christian for the first sixteen years of my life!

All through my elementary and first two years of my high school life, I’ve never met, seen, known, nor heard of one.

I’m sure there were Christians in my circle of family and friends, this was after all 1989, it’s just that I did not know of anyone who intentionally made it their priority to introduce Jesus Christ to me. Continue reading
