In Defense of Mega Churches

Mega Church

A mega church is defined as a church having 1,000 or more regular attendees during their weekend gatherings.

Because of their size, it’s easy to pick on them. I know, in the physical, giants pick on the small. But in church circles, the opposite is true-the midgets pick on the big boys.

As a pastor,  I have read and seen articles or posts that take cheap shot on mega churches-they are all flash and no substance; they steal members from smaller churches;  their pastors are con men and sales artists;  all they care about are numbers;  or what about this one, ‘’the Lord doesn’t care about size.
